The Culver Auto Racing Museum added a great piece of history to our collection this month. This is a rare Richard Petty Kit Car. The car started off life on Tennessee and was originally bodied as a Dodge Dart before having a Dodge Mirada body installed. It was purchased by Delaware driver Ron Lavere to race in NASCAR's BUSCH Series but the team ran out of funding and the car never ran again. The car sat in a barn in Harrington , Delaware for over 30 years before we hoisted her into the daylight! The car will be cleaned and preserved as is. We are still researching the cars history and plan a trip to Petty's Garage so they can authenticate the chassis.
