New Items for Museum and Georgetown Season Opener!
March 9, 2020
The 1a Late Model driven by Gil Clements and Bill Towers has been added to the Culver Auto Racing Museum. This is the first Late Model for the museum and we are honored to have such a successful race car added to the collection! The car will receive a sympathetic restoration to preserve it's original patina. Adding to the excitement of the weekend was Georgetown Speedway's season opening race, The Melvin Joseph Memorial! It was a great opportunity to say hi to racing legend, Ken Schrader. Ken wrote the foreword for my book on Kramer Williamson and is a true character and one of the great racers of our time.
Also added to the museum during the weekend was the #75 David Hill door from one of his early race cars. I was able to stop by the Hill's shop and have David autograph the door before I hang it in the museum next to Amanda Robinson's Championship #4 door. There is much more to announce but I will save that for a later post as more history comes alive at the Culver Auto racing Museum!
