The Last Modified built by Walt Breeding finds a home at the Culver Auto Racing Museum!
March 20, 2019
"It is not just a car, It is part of someones life." Says Culver Auto Racing Museum director, Chad Culver. "We are honored to have and preserve the last race car built by racing legend, Walt Breeding. Walt was an innovator, driver, promoter and mentor. He did so much for racing. I felt strongly that this car should be saved and seen by the public so that Walt's legacy may not be forgotten."
The #1 experimental Modified was only driven a handful of times by driver Brad Trice before owner and designer, Walt Breeding passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer. The car has graciously been loaned to the museumm by Barbara Breeding. Although the car has been partially disassembled since it's last race the museum is currently gathering parts to put the ride back together so that it may be displayed later this year at various tracks. The museum will also display the car at next years Area Auto Racing Show in Pennsylvania. After visiting some tracks and car shows the car will then take its place among other historic race cars in the Culver Auto Racing Museum for all you enjoy.
Museum director, Chad Culver adds,"We are honored that Barbara Breeding trust us to preserve and take care of the car so that people may see and remember just how much of an innovator Walt Breeding was. We look forward to sharing this innovative ride with the public and preserving it for future generations."
