New Delaware based racing book due out in 2019!

February 5, 2019

Author Chad Culver will be releasing his new book, Legends of Delaware Auto Racing in 2019. The book is currently two-thirds complete and will contain short interviews with thirty plus drivers, owners and promoters that helped make racing in Delaware what it is today. Published by the History Press this will be the fourth published book on auto racing from Culver. Culver's last book Kramer Williamson, Sprint Car Legend was one of last years top selling motorsports books and documents the life and times of Sprint Car driver, Kramer Williamson. Author Chad Culver had this to say about the upcoming book.

"I am really looking forward to the release of this book. It will contain about 32 interviews with different personalities that helped make racing in Delaware what it is today. It is by no means a based on any kind of rank or top 30 list. This is simply 32 people that we choose who had an impact on racing in the first state. My hope is that this is the first volume and we can do another book soon because there are many more people involved in racing that deserve to have their story told. One book can not simply hold all the history that racing in Delaware has provided."

Legends of Delaware Auto Racing will contain over seventy-five photos many never seen before. Cuvler says he has an early Spring deadline and hopes for the finished product to hit store shelves by the Fall. When not writing books Culver preserves and collects racing memorabilia and operates the Culver Auto Racing Museum. When asked why such interest in preserving Delaware racing history Chad Culver had this to say.

" It just interest me! The cars, the people, the whole deal. I grew up at the races and preserving the stories, cars and memorabilia has always interested me. My Grandparents and Parents were antique dealers so I have always loved history and older things. After I left Delaware for North Carolina I really missed the racing and the people involved in it so this whole deal really keeps me closely connected to my home state. We currently have twelve cars in the museum and are currently looking at adding on. The museum also has a new enclosed trailer so we can now bring some cars and memorabilia to the Delaware tracks several times a year for people to enjoy. We tried last year but it just seemed every time we came up it rained!" We have big plans for the coming years, a full expansion for the museum is planned and there is already a book number five in the works."

Culver was tight lipped on the subject of book number five only saying it could involve one of the biggest names in racing. Until his new book is released fans of racing may go to www.culverautoracingmuseum.com to check out the museum and stay up to date on the progress of Culver's newest book.
