What a busy week! I started off the week by attending the Drive for Autism Golf Tournament benefiting Autism Delaware. I was on Sirius XM Radio's Dialed In with Claire B. Lang to talk about the new book and the history of Dover International Speedway. I also was able to show a special student around the track as well as the local dirt track. During the week, I had many compliments on the new book about Dover from Dale Inman, Bobby Allison and Richard Childress (pictured). Richard had many fond memories of getting his start in racing with Tom Garn of Seaford, Delaware. Richard also spoke very highly of another local racer and owner, Norris "Speedy" Reed. I even found time to interview Johnny Stoltzfus, one of the first drivers for Melvin Joseph. Many thanks to Joe Ann Adams for her hospitality and setting up the interview! It was great to see everyone and the launch of the new book was a great success. I hope to do a major signing at the track during the fall race with a famous NASCAR personality!!
